Starbase, TX — SpaceX has announced that they will be launching all future starship prototypes from the roof of the midbay. This will be accomplished by cutting a hole in the ceiling of the midbay, allowing the flames to go right through. " We are going to need to speed up testing " said Harcus Mouse, a raptor technician,
" you know why we scraped sn12-14? Well because the testing of sn8-11 was taking too long! What we need to do is test each part individually to speed up the full starship testing, like wdrs when the rocket is in pieces, flap testing before stacking, and thrust ram test in the high bay. This will all allow us to just do one static fire, and launch a starship every few days. Due to the inherent risk of landing near populated areas, we will still be landing at the landing pad near the old launch site"
As most things that SpaceX does with starship testing, this comes as a surprise to many. SpaceX has also announced that they will be using starhopper to make the first trip, part as a tribute, and part to make sure that it is safe to use larger crafts to jump the large gap between the two sites.
