SpaceX to put Crew Dragon in a fairing to "improve the aerodynamics"

Hawthorn, CA — Today, in a string of Tweets, SpaceX announced that they will be putting the Crew and Cargo Dragon capsules in a fairing to "improve the aerodynamics". This announcement comes after the last Cargo Dragon mission, where SpaceX engineers noticed something was awry.

"It was the strangest thing," said Gophia Soings, the launch director at Hawthorn "the fins on the trunk were providing much more lift then expected, causing the ascent profile to be slightly off."

This is an odd statement, because as seen in the SpaceX renders, the fairing only covers up the capsule, not the trunk and fins. It is also unclear how they will abort in the case of a problem, but it is being theorized that they will just accept the risk and not have an abort system to shed dead weight.
