SpaceX to remove forward flaps from starship

Starbase, TX --- Today SpaceX announced that they will be removing the forward flaps from starship, and letting the aft flaps do all of the heavy lifting. In a statement posted on their website just minutes ago, SpaceX said that they will remove the flaps from sn-16, so that they can test if it will work without them. We reached out to Harcus Mouse, the head raptor technician, for comment

I cant go too much in to detail because this is still in the early phases of development, but our plan is to use up all of the fuel from the header tank in flight so that the center of mass can be further back near the engines and the aft flaps, allowing us to hold a steady position. We decided to get rid of the flaps because the same thing could be accomplished without them, reducing the amount of moving parts on starship, and as Elon always says, "the best part is no part"

It will be sad to see the forward flaps go and starship loose its iconic look, but it will hopefully be better for starships success in the future.
