Yellow cover falls out from the Minotaur-1rocket. A manufacturing defect to blame?

Wallops Flight Facility, Virginia - A few minutes ago, a Minotaur 1 rocket took off from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia but just after liftoff, a Yellow cover fell off the rocket. This looks like a manufacturing defect to us at the Apogee report.

Lockheed Martin’s CEO Tim Jaiclet stated:

This is a failure we have seen in many flights off the banana ro- I mean the Minotaur 1 rocket. We have still not been able to trace down the exact reason for this failure. Though this failure had little to no impact on the primary mission, It is going to be a little harder to clean the pad up now.

Hopefully this issue gets sorted and the next flight of the Minatour, which hopefully won’t be a decade from now, will be a complete success!
